Young Leader Academy
The Young Leader Academy (YLA) is a professional learning experience designed to expose high school leaders (grades 10-12) with the knowledge, skills and experiences needed to excel in policy analysis, advocacy and leadership development. YLA aims to cultivate a new generation of informed, engaged, empathetic and effective leaders who can address pressing societal issues through informed policy decisions and impactful advocacy within their local community. The experience exposes young leaders to community leaders and change makers to develop a change-maker mindset which empowers the next generation of leaders who can shape policy, advocate for change and drive positive impact.
Objectives:
The Young Leader Academy aims to use a growth mindset to empower the next generation of leaders who can shape policy, advocate for change and drive positive impact in their communities and beyond.
