Newsletter Greeting

From the Desk of Brenda Caszatt

Dear Esteemed Leadership Institute of Nevada Alumni,

I hope this message finds you well and ready for a joyous holiday season. As I reflect on my journey in education, I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude for the incredible work we have done together to shape the future of our students, schools, and communities.

For 26 years, I had the privilege of serving in various capacities within the Clark County School District (CCSD), where I worked as a teacher, librarian, and administrator. Each of these roles taught me invaluable lessons and reinforced my belief in the transformative power of education. Whether it was fostering a love of reading, supporting students in their academic growth, or collaborating with dedicated colleagues to build a nurturing school environment, I have always felt that our work together was more than just a job—it was a calling.

In August of 2023, I transitioned to a new opportunity with the LION organization, where I am honored to assist with the Executive Leadership Academy, the Teacher Leader Academy, and Summit Events. This shift has allowed me to continue my passion for supporting educators and leaders by offering professional development, fostering connections, and helping shape the future of educational leadership. I am deeply grateful for the experiences and growth I’ve encountered, and it has reinvigorated my commitment to empowering the next generation of leaders in education.

As we look to the future, I am reminded of the great responsibility we share in shaping the educational landscape for tomorrow’s learners. Our work is never done, but it is always meaningful. The challenges we face may evolve, but our mission remains clear: to inspire, lead, and build opportunities for those we serve.

I want to express my heartfelt thanks to each of you for the role you’ve played in my journey, and for the work you continue to do in the lives of your students. Together, we’ve made a lasting impact. As I continue to work alongside educators and leaders across our field, I am filled with hope for the future of education. There is no limit to what we can achieve when we come together with a shared vision of growth, empowerment, and service.

Thank you for your unwavering dedication, for your leadership, and for being a part of this incredible community. The road ahead is filled with endless possibilities, and I look forward to continuing this journey with all of you—making a difference, one step at a time.

With deepest gratitude and in the spirit of continuous learning,

Brenda Caszatt
